We are looking for volunteers to participate in a decision-making study online and potentially in the fMRI scanner. You will complete:
1) A computer game and some questionnaires online (approx 1 and a half hour)
and depending on your performance on the task,

25 April 2024 Requirements- We are looking for people who:
- Do not have a history of psychiatric or neurological disease/injury
- Are aged between 18-40 years old
- Are fluent in written and spoken English
- Have normal/corrected to normal vision.
- The experiment might involve being in the fMRI scanner. Because of the nature of the experiment, the following people WILL NOT be able to take part:
- Have metal anywhere in the body e.g. implants such as pacemakers or any sort of dental work ( i.e., dental crowns, permanent retainers, etc. )
- Have tattoos on the head, neck or upper area (including permanent eye lining/eyebrows) or large tattoos (greater than 20cm) anywhere on the body
- Have a fear of small and confined spaces
- All the participants also need to be registered with a UK based GP in order to take part at the study.

Effects of Relaxing Activities and Sleep on Thoughts, Emotions and Memory

You will be asked to come to UCL on 1 occasion for ~2.5 hours and complete brief daily online diaries for 2 weeks. As part of the study you watch a ‘stressful film’, complete questionnaires, listen to a recording, and complete daily online diaries.

- Age 18-35
- Good (including corrected) vision and hearing
- Able to read standard-sized text on a computer screen without glasses (soft contacts acceptable)
- Fluent in English
- Reliable daily access to the Internet
- Able to lie on your back on a lightly cushioned surface for 45 minutes without discomfort
- Not currently seeking or receiving treatment for any mental health problem
- No history of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or psychotic disorder
- No diagnosed sleep disorder (within past 12 months)
- Not taking medication(s) for mental health, sleep, or a heart condition
- Not taking hormone medication(s) for inflammatory conditions
- No history of sexual assault
- Do not feel faint at the sight of blood or injuries
